Mi Washington Heights

For my senior thesis I chose to create an outlet of communication between old residents and new residents of Washington Heights. I take a lot of pride in the neighborhood in which I was born and raised and I wanted to inform everyone of the wonderful people and places that make up the community. I created a sensory experience where residents can see, smell, and hear Washington Heights through my point of view. This two part project includes a scent rack and video, along with a small "insiders guide" tour book.

 

Para mi tesis, he creado una toma de la comunicación entre los residentes actuales y nuevos residentes de Washington Heights. Me siento orgullosa del barrio en el que nací y crecí y quería informar a todos de las maravillosas personas y lugares que conforman la comunidad. He creado una experiencia sensorial donde los residentes pueden ver, oler, y oír Washington Heights a través de mi punto de vista. Este proyecto incluye un estante de olores con el vídeo, junto con un pequeño libro de la gira.
