HUNGRY IN HEELS

NYFW- 3D Printed Fashion by HEISEL

3D Printing is all the rage now and it is amazing the kinds of things people are doing with it. From floor plans, to prosthetics, to fashion! Designer HEISEL has printed clothing from a material called Ninja Flex and these designs are the coolest things I've seen that have come out of a printer. This mini exhibition was held in the mezzanine of the Gregory Hotel on 35th street. HEISEL also had other items for sale like bracelets, phone cases, keychains, and hats. Their hope is to soon be able to print pattern-like fabrics.

Each dress takes about 40 hours to print and the keychains & bracelets take about 20-40 minutes.

These green and blue keychains were printed from algae!

They let you try on everything in the room! They decorated the walls with tape by hand!

I'm wearing an online exclusive mod dress from Old Navy, with leather Coach loafers and a blue wristlet from Express for a pop of color (I hate wearing all black).
