OOTD - Alice in Wonderland Skirt

Outfit of the day!!! My friend Nixa invited me to an art gallery in Chelsea so I thought I'd be so 'New York' and style it up! I've had this skirt since who-knows-when, but I haven't had an opportunity to wear it. I call it my 'Alice in Wonderland' skirt. I thought it would be a fun contrast to dress the skirt down with a denim top in the perfect shade of blue, and creating a crop top by tying a knot. While searching for blog inspo on Google, I saw a picture of a woman wearing her button down open with the collar up and I loved it so I decided to give it a try. I added the chain link necklace on the inside to add a bit of personality, and I just think it's fun. My shoes are my beloved bargain hunt shoes. They were $70 at DSW, but I found them randomly at a Nine West Outlet in Florida while on vacation for $15! I love my deals! For my makeup I use all Avon products from foundation & blush, to liquid liner & lipstick. I did my usual cat eye but added a pop of hot pink to my lips to bring in the color from the skirt back up to my face.
