SEA Thai Williamsburg
Monday night I went to SEA in Brooklyn. I rarely ever go outside of my borough but this restaurant was well worth it. First of all, it was really easy to get to and people know my sense of direction is terrible! After a pleasant walk from the Bedford Ave train station on the L, we get to this red brick building with beautifully lit letters. Upon walking in we get greeted and walked to our awesome table next to the water. The entryway had very fun furniture including extra large swings and a spherical hanging chair.
Their menu is grandiose; there were so many choices for all the different courses. Their drink menu was also very interesting with so many flavor combinations to choose from. For my drink I got the Wanthong (Finlandia Vodka Cocktail with strawberry and guava) and Joanna got the Laylai (Bacardi Oakheart Spiced Rum, blood orange, pineapple & cranberry). They were both so good and very well priced!
I'm obsessed with dumplings, so for our appetizer we got the Tup Tim Fritters which are crispy chicken & shrimp dumplings with sweet & sour sauce. This is their most popular appetizer and they did not disappoint!!! I could have had three orders of these dumplings! They were perfectly crispy, the sauce complimented them so well, and I wanted them all for myself! For just $6 I could have kept ordering these all night!I almost forgot about my food! I ordered the Black Noodles which are broad rice noodles w/ broccoli & egg, and my choice of meat was chicken. Joanna got the Red Thunder Fried Rice which is spicy fried rice with eggs, tomato, onion and scallion (with chicken). Both of our entrees were delicious. My noodles were the best I've ever tasted, and I love me some flat noodles. They melted in my mouth, I couldn't get enough!
Dessert was a hard choice because I usually want to get the entire dessert menu. We chose to go with the Beanie & Brownie which were brownie spring rolls with ice cream. This was an okay dessert. It wasn't very sweet, we didn't know what ice cream was on our plate (it was not the red bean ice cream stated on the menu), and I am not a fan of walnuts in my brownies. However, I do give them points for creativity.
I am so happy we came here for our night out, and I am also glad I got to put on an outfit inspired by my fashion guru Stacy London. Ever since I saw her wear this on 'Love, Lust or Run' I have wanted to give it a try!
White button down and tuxedo stripe Rockstar jeans from Old Navy, black floral crop top from Forever21, jacket from Versace, and White Mountain ankle boots from DSW.
