Another great deal from Groupon! This time me and my family were heading to Bann Restaurant in Midtown. The deal was $20 for a $40 voucher for 2 or more people (valid Sunday-Thursday) and with a promo code I got it for $15! Woo-hoo! I was super excited to take my mom and sister here because my sister has been showing an interest in Korean culture lately, so it was perfect. This restaurant was super easy to get to from the C train at 50th street. Upon walking in I loved the decor and atmosphere. The host walked us to our table which was past this beautiful walkway. I really loved our waiter's enthusiasm and eagerness to recommend items on the menu because it was our first time.

For our appetizer, we ordered the PA JUN 파전 (traditional sizzling pancake with scallion & mixed peppers). We got it filled with kimchi and let me tell you, it was SPICY! My sister loves spicy food and she had to get a sip of water as well. Overall, it had really good seasoning though. For our BBQ we ordered the BUL GOGI 불고기 (thinly sliced beef rib eye). Their meat is prepared to order in their signature soy marinade, which is delicious. The Korean BBQ option is served with rice (white or multigrain), kimchi & pickled daikon, romaine salad, fresh lettuce wraps & miso paste.

For dessert, we ordered the hot chocolate cake which was significantly less sweet than American desserts and we enjoyed it with the ice cream.

We had a great time experiencing Korean BBQ for the first time. My favorite part was definitely the service. The people who took care of us were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Definitely check out Bann Restaurant at 350 W 50th Street.
