HUNGRY IN HEELS

Bar180

A lot of things are changing in Washington Heights and as old businesses are leaving, new businesses are rolling in. This is how I encountered Bar180. A hip little spot right on the corner of Broadway on 180th street. This bar has nice decor, outdoor seating, and an eclectic menu.

We stopped by for drinks and a quick bite for lunch. First thing that got me excited was the It Was All A Dream! cocktail. I have been wanting to have this drink for a while so of course I had to order one. "It was all a dream!" is a regional semifinalist in the Bacardi Legacy competition and created by my friend, Darnell Holguin. Follow Darnell's drink adventures on IG @Drinkandwit or catch him whenever you're at Fifty Restaurant!

It Was All A Dream! is inspired by a popular Dominican Drink called Morirsoñando and I can definitely see why. Be prepared though, this Morirsoñando comes with a kick!

We started with the fried calamari which was nice and crispy, and an order of the guacamole and chips. I liked that the guacamole came with non-traditional chips.

After that, we shared some chicken sliders. These are usually served with brioche buns but they were out, so they offered Italian and it was still good.

If you're looking for a good happy hour, and a great beer selection, definitely check out Bar180 in Washington Heights. Good food, good drinks, friendly and welcoming service!

Bar180 is located at 4241 BroadwayNew York, NY 10033.
