1 Piece Two Ways: Black Cape Blazer
Photography by Morgen Purcell.
FIRST LOOK

CASUAL: For this outfit I kept it loose and comfortable. I love the look of a simple T-Shirt and jeans with a blazer over it. I told you guys this tee would pop up in future outfits! My wedge Converse make sure I'm always in my heels even on the most casual days. My bag adds a pop color, while still being practical enough to hold all my stuff! Blazer: Tahari (similar affordable version here) Soft Tee: New York & Company Jeans: Old Navy (Size 2 Petite for the perfect length!) Converse Wedges: DSW (find them here) Bag: DSW Makeup: Avon

second look

GOING OUT: For this look I went with all black because it felt appropriate for a night out. I'm not a fan of wearing all black because I love my bright colors, but I definitely felt like a boss bitch in this outfit. Keeping a form-fitting silhouette and throwing my hair up in a bun makes the cape blazer the focal point of the outfit! Blazer: Tahari (similar affordable version here)
Top: The Tank Top by The Label (on sale now!) Jeans: Soho High Waist Jegging from New York & Company
Shoes: Payless (similar affordable version here) Sunglasses: New York & Company (on sale now!) Makeup: Avon

I wanted to start something new and fun on the blog which is showing you how I wear a statement piece two ways. I normally do not spend a lot unless it's on something unique that will really add visual interest to an outfit. I stumbled upon this Tahari cape blazer while I was at Macy's buying a regular black blazer for a work uniform. I immediately had to try it on and fell IN LOVE. For $60, I thought it was a pretty sweet deal and now I have a statement piece that is of great quality. I'm really into architectural fashion and this blazer definitely fits that vision. Do you have a statement piece you just had to have? Thanks for checking out this post! Stay tuned for more "1 Piece Two Ways" later on!
