Kellogg's NYC
The Kellogg's Store started as a pop-up shop in NYC and quickly turned into "NYC’S favorite cereal destination" with a permanent location right off of Union Square. This was like heaven to me. I LOVE CEREAL (my college roommate can back me up on that).
The Decor:
What I love the most about this Do-It-Yourself cereal bar is all the artistic elements and thought put into the space and the decor. There are paintings of all the cereal mascots in the themed lounges, murals on the walls, and even the furniture was created just for this space. It is a great space for just hanging out if you're in the area as well because they welcome anyone to just come and lounge in the hammock seating and soak up the free wifi!
The Art:
You start with a bowl at one end of the assembly line, pick your cereals, then move onto the milks (they have good choices), and then go crazy at the toppings bar! I decided to go with my top 2 favorites: Froot Loops and Frosted Flakes and halfway through I decided to go with a s'mores theme for my bowl because I knew I wanted chocolate and marshmallows. This process was seamless and really fun. I was amazed at the range of toppings they offered. They had dates, pop tart crumbles, pumpkin seeds, syrups & jams, and more.
The Cereal Bar:
A really fun aspect of the Kellogg's store is the Instagram Station. They have an entire section set up with lights, props, and inspirational pics to get you started. Here you can style your bowl, design your set, capture the perfect shot, and share it with your friends, and if you make a great bowl you might have it featured on the menu! The Instagram Station:
Overall, my time at the Kellogg's store was really fun! The only thing is I wish I saw their online menu somewhere in the store. It would be great to show go-to combinations just in case anyone gets stuck and needs some cereal bowl inspo. But for less than $10 this experience was a great deal!
