Room Service - Hell's Kitchen
This month for Foodie with Zuly we were feeling Thai food so where else would we go than to Room Service in Hell's Kitchen! This is top 2 best Thai food I've had, hands down. With a short walk from the A train to 9th Avenue, you'll find yourself on Restaurant Row where the possibilities are endless.
To start, we ordered the Phuket cocktail. It was delicious and pretty to look at! More like a fruit punch, we didn't really feel a kick with this one.
The appetizers pictured here are Corn Spring Rolls (Crispy spring rolls stuffed with glass noodles, grilled corn and minced vegetables. Served with plum sake dipping sauce) and Thai Mixed Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings (With vegetables and potatoes. Served with house black bean mushroom dipping sauce). The dumplings are always on point at Room Service!
Zuly's favorite dish is Spicy Basil Noodles [Kee Mao] which is spicy pan-fried flat rice noodles stir-fried in a spicy sauce with tomatoes, basils, eggs, bell peppers and onions.
She also ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice (drunk man’s style with tomatoes, peppers, onions, basils, chili and eggs).
My favorite dish is Pad See Ew [Phat si-io] (Flat rice noodles stir-fried in sweet soy sauce with Asian broccoli and eggs). I order it with chicken and it's perfect! The portion size is great for the price as well.
The evening was filled with great conversation and laughs, but we needed to satisfy our sweet tooth. Schmackary's was a few streets over and I'm so glad I saw it on my way to Room Service. We have never tried cookies from here before but we've heard a lot of good things. With a special like 2 cookies for $5 where could you go wrong?
I got classic chocolate chip and the Schmackerdoodle. Both did not disappoint!
I definitely will be coming back here!
