Gnoccheria by Luzzo's
If you are hungry for a homemade Italian meal, head on over to Gnoccheria by Luzzo's! I have seen this place advertised online so many times as NYC’s first and only Gnoccheria and I just had to check it out! For those who don't know, gnocchi is a type of pasta made from potatoes and semolina flour. They are often times described as dumplings, but I don't see them as such. Anyway you see it, pasta, potato, dumpling-- they are delicious.
Gavi white wine--delicious!
For our antipasti we had to go with the burrata because when there's burrata, you always get the burrata.
Gnoccheria by Luzzo's makes 3 different styles of gnocchi with 11 different choices of sauce. I ordered the classic potato gnocchi with Norma sauce which is eggplant, tomato sauce, basil, and dried ricotta. This was the softest, butteriest, smoothest gnocchi I've ever had! The sauce was perfect but I could have used a bit more eggplant. Kelsey ordered the cheese-stuffed gnocchi with bolognese sauce--talk about perfect combo!
For dessert we ordered the Tiramisu and the Tartufo (zabaione semifreddo with chocolate gelato, hazelnut and cocoa powder).
You know I always have to have chocolate!
If you love gnocchi as much as I do then you will LOVE Gnoccheria by Luzzo's. Check out their Instagram page to see the endless combinations of gnocchi and sauce they have to offer! I want to go back to try the purple potato gnocchi! Thanks for checking out this post! Check back for more foodie adventures!
