Suede for the Season
What do you do with this in-between weather? I'll tell you what I'm going to do: wear dresses and skirts and layer up until the snow hits the ground! I have so many dresses I haven't worn and a lot of them could easily transition to Fall if I just style them with tights, fun socks, sweaters and leg warmers! Adding things like sweaters, puffer vests, fun tights, patterned leggings and different colored boot socks add a visual interest to any Fall outfit and I'm happy to show you how I layered this look. I was so excited to snag this faux suede colorblock shift dress at Nordstrom Rack for just under $20--what a steal! The faux suede and earth tones make it perfect for the Fall. I paired it with basic black tights, thigh-high leg warmers, and slouchy suede boots. I like adding contrast with the accessories I wear under my boots, they keep me warm but also add visual interest! Also, these boots are really slouchy so the chunky leg warmers keep them nice and full. Secret hack: this is my day 5 hair and it was looking crazy so I put this hat on and voilá!
Who says you can't look cute in outerwear? I had this conversation with my friend yesterday about people not wanting to see you in a coat, only cute outfits while you freeze your butt off for a good photo. I overheard myself and thought, thats crazy! So here I am layering a tunic sweater, a fur-lined puffer vest, and my coat for the perfect Fall look! (Let's be real and honest here, sometimes I do freeze my butt off for a photo and take my coat off.)
