HUNGRY IN HEELS

The Meatball Shop

Have you heard of the meatballers? Two guys opened up The Meatball Shop in the Lower East side in 2010 and then quickly spread to 5 other locations in the city. "The mix-and-match menu of meatballs, served in a warm and convivial environment, was an instant hit." - themeatballshop.com

Here at the Chelsea location we started with their famous Mozz Balls. Im sorry meatballs, but these stole the show for me! They were so perfectly melty and the sauce was delicious. I wanted a second order immediately!

After recovering from these, we tried the classic meatballs with classic tomato sauce and it's served with Parmesan and Focaccia bread.

Now for my favorite part...DESSERT! The Meatball Shop recently started getting their ice cream from Ample Hills Creamery! Pictured below is their Chocolate Milk & Cookies ice cream with a double chocolate chunk cookie on one side and a peanut butter cookie on the other.

This ice cream sandwich is Vanilla Bean ice cream with a chocolate chip cookie on one side and snickerdoodle cookie on the other. Look how generous!

Overall, the service was great, the location was cozy, and it's a perfect lunch date before walking The High Line! Make sure to go for their Mozz Balls! The Meatball shop has 5 locations in the city, make sure to check them out here.
